Description

• Attends design meetings and interacts with clients at his or her level of experience and work with client managers to develop client relationships.
• Direct responsibility for projects providing schematics, plans, and specifications for transportation projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering or science field.
• 3+ years design engineering experience working on municipal infrastructure projects, and/or county and state roadway projects.
• EIT or PE in the State of Texas.
• Valid TX driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.

Landworks Engineering is seeking a CAD drafter. Remote work is possible!, but with strict adherence to company rules and the ability to follow directions and get task done.

Expectations

• Day-to-day tasks will include drafting with Civil3d and/or Revit.
• Review and correct markups from engineers and/or city staff.
• Create construction plans consistiing of roads, sewer, power, water, storm &infrastuure
• Attends design meetings and interacts with clients at his or her level of experience and work with client managers to develop client relationships.
• Perform work involving the application of conventional aspects of utility design for water, sewer, storm, and power layouts.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 Yr Experience (preferred) in the field of Civil Engineering / Land Development
• Experience in commercial site development and subdivision platting within the cities of Central Texas, experience is highly desirable.
• Candidates must be familiar with, (or willing to learn) production of drainage studies and reports, hydraulic and hydrology analysis, plan profiles and street design, SWPPP's, prepare cost estimates, attend meetings, project management & design work as well as help out with general office duties.

Requirements:

• Basic skills in Civil3d is preferred. Would like experience in Civil 3D, HEC-HMS(preferred), HEC-RAS (preferred) and Microsoft Office Programs.
• Attention to detail, follow-up and excellent organizational skills.
• The ability to function professionally under pressure while working on multiple concurrent projects and deadlines. No history of criminal background.

Job Duties

• Performs tasks involving physical labor at building construction projects
• May operate a variety of hand and power tools
• May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials
• Unload, carry, place, and secure with tie wire concrete reinforcing steel and accessories
• Manually excavates and fills trenches and ditches
• Handles and stores materials
• Placement and finishing of concrete utilizing hand and power tools including troweling machines
• Preparations for concrete pour including installing embedded items and cleaning
• Concrete patching, repairing, and rubbing
• Construct built-in-place or prefabricated wooden forms, according to specs, for molding concrete structures
• Assist in demolishing activities
• Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers
• Operate electric powered tools
• Signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance
• Follow safety rules

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years experience working on sitework infrastructure project preferred
• Valid TX driver’s license and insurable driving record
• 6 months to one year of construction experience is preferred
• Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions
• Some knowledge of the proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in heavy construction work
• Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
• Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
• Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions
• Ability to meet punctuality and attendance schedule with dependability and consistency

Pay Requirements

• +$18 per hour (depending on experience)
• Monthly bounes after 90 days of employment

Job Duties

• Effienctly operate a variety of light and heavy equipment involved in sitework construction
• Operate rollers, graders, backhoes, excavators, front-end loaders, skid steers, dump trucks, or bulldozers effienctly
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections, routine servicing, and minor repairs on equipment.
• Ensures adherence to safety standards when operating equipment.
• Prepares and maintains records, files, and reports on timekeeping, equipment, inventory, and accidents.
• Inspects equipment to ensure that it meets specifications.
• May perform other work as directed during emergency situations such as floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, accidents, and hazardous material spills.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• +$22 per hour with monthly bonus after 90 days

Job Duties

• Perform survey tasks as per the direction of the Project Manager and Project Superintendent.
• Provides construction layout to field crews at the direction of the Project Manager and/or Superintendent
• Ensures adherence to safety standards when operating equipment.
• Completes detailed drawings from field survey data, sketches, plans, specifications, and written or verbal instructions using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Prepares and maintains records, files, and reports on timekeeping, equipment, inventory, and accidents.
